~ Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~
Every Thursday, here at Like Mother, Like Daughter!
{pretty, happy, funny, real}
It was not so long ago that I was boasting of Molly's reading habits and tea-tin stacking prowess. She's so intelligent, so refined! And truly, she has many talents.
However.
If you ask her where her nose is, she will do this:
If you ask her where her ears are, she will do this:
In fact, if you ask her where any part of her is, she will give you a hilarious little smirk and point into her mouth.
It's adorable, and hilarious, and I think she does actually know where her nose is. It's hard to tell; she's remarkably consistent. She did point to her actual nose once. She just has a little sense of humor, too.
(There are few things more adorable than a baby making a joke, I think.)
Her big brother thinks it's so funny that he's been having trouble finding his own nose lately. So technically we've made backwards progress. Maybe we can incorporate it into our homeschool preschool curriculum: Remedial Nose Identification, anyone?

They have such pretty smiles. What a pretty dress. Is handmade by one of you talented ladies or bought where? Have a blessed day!
Rosie says
None handmade, I’m afraid. The pretty pink one with the headband I snagged from the clearance rack at TJ Maxx (how could I resist?) and the other two came from Old Navy (via thrift store) and Target clearance.

Adorable children you have there!
Mary says
They both have a sweet and playful sense of humor.

Truly adorable! I love that Pippo is joining in the fun of it, family jokes are the best. We still call hamburgers hangaburgers because even after my oldest knew the difference he pretended not to and kept calling them that – and so now we all do, over 20 years later.

She is so cute!
If you ask my little boy where his nose is, he will stick his finger right in it! 🙂

Well, if the opposite of “pro” is “con,” then I’d say “backwards progress” is Congress!
But I di-gress.
(A grown-up joke for you. Not as funny as your baby jokes, though; and also — your baby jokesters are impossibly cute!)
Stephanie says
