I have an older iPhone, and to that I attribute the fact that my cellphone photos appear significantly lamer than other people's.
I'm guessing that you will not be un-amused by photos, however bad, of pre-getting ready — a trial run of things. Rosie is taking photos from all angles in order to record what the hair and make-up look like, so that there are no issues for Deirdre, who does the beauty stuff, on game day. (In case you are wondering, a talented and generous friend will fill that office for Deirdre at her wedding.)
When everyone started laughing, as usual, I did have my phone.
And I just found the pictures.
It's important to determine where the veil will sit and how the up-do will complement the whole effect. The wedding morning is too late to be agonizing over this!
Yes, this is how the floor looks in Bridget (formerly Deirdre's) room, in places. But I remember that a friend at my wedding insisted on taking a picture of my shoe, saying that I'd be happy later to have the memory. So I took one of Sukie's shoe, and one of Bridget's.
In case you are wondering, we are simultaneously recovering from Sukie's wedding and in the home stretch of prep for Deirdre's. I caught a wicked cold (or a suspiciously cold-length hay fever attack) immediately after the wedding, and yesterday Bridget and then Deirdre came down with a flu.
And that's the news from here! What's new with you?

All allergies and illnesses be gone in the Name of Jesus! Saying prayers that your family be blessed in every way. I like the shoe photo idea. I made sure to have our photographer take a nice shot of our wedding- ringed hands, because I always have loved the one of my parents from their wedding day.

I love the photos- thanks for posting them. Both Sukie's and Deirdre's hair looked marvelous- and I think the current length of Bridget's hair is very becoming; she looks like a charming pixie. I am glad Deirdre fell ill now, and not the day before the wedding!
Love,
Debbie

Oh, no – the flu!!! I'll be praying for poor Deirdre. Otherwise, I definitely enjoyed the pictures. She's great at hairdos, isn't she? I always like the way she styles her hair in your photos, and I admired Sukie's updo as soon as I saw the first pic.
I was hoping you'd do a post today – hope everyone feels better very soon!

Fun photos—wow, two weddings back to back! That could definitely be our family one of these days (I have 4 daughters & 2 sons.) You all seem to enjoy each other and have fun together. I pray my girls do as well.

I wanted to comment of phfr last week but got interrupted. Ginny at Small Things posted last week about pressing flowers and asking for suggestions. I have a friend who presses flowers and then makes resin jewellery with the flowers in them. I was thinking Bridget could press some flowers from the weddings and make these for her sisters for Christmas. Here's a link to get you started. and check out the etsy store for this blog, she has some beautiful single flower pendants which would give you some ideas. http://resinandpressedflowers.blogspot.com/2011/0…

I just love the photos of watching the girls together sharing in each others happiness. The hair looks lovely and I am sure it will all come together for Deirdre's wedding as well. I pray that everyone recovers quickly and all is well soon.

Looking at the pictures of your daughters laughing I was struck by just how precious these candid photos will be to future generations. Just imagine grown children finding a picture of their mother looking so joyous, laughing with her sisters before her wedding. What a great scene to capture!

Beautiful pictures, they made me cry thinking about my sisters and I 15 yrs ago when I was getting married. I'll pray that everyone is well for the wedding. God Bless.

Great pictures! Sometimes I think fuzzy is best. It adds character to a shot when it's not studio-perfect. (At least that's what I tell myself.) 🙂 That veil is SO beautiful.
And I think it's traditional that there be SOME major unplanned upheaval right before one's wedding, like getting the flu. For us it was my husband getting an emergency appendectomy a few weeks before our wedding. 🙂 But we survived, and got married, and now it's a funny part of our wedding story (in hindsight)!

Your daughters are lovely and look like so much fun. It makes me look forward to about 15 years in the future with my own (three so far) girls 🙂 Thank you for sharing bits of your life with us.
