Every Thursday, here at Like Mother, Like Daughter!
The morning light was just glorious — my reward for cleaning the kitchen so thoroughly the night before?
A fun afternoon chasing bubbles.
(My advice for trying to blow bubbles and take pictures at the same time? Aim high! If you time it right, there's just enough time to switch out the bubble wand for the camera by the time the bubbles float down to within toddler-range.)
Aunt Sukie's Christmas gift to Pippo was this fun tent, which has been quite a hit. However, he hasn't quite mastered the duck-through-the-hole entrance technique (some might call this “walking through the door”).
His method works too, after a fashion: if you just keep pushing forward, eventually you end up inside the tent!

Flowers from Afghanistan?!? He's a keeper for certain!
Collette says
Such a cheery kitchen!! And your little guy is so sweet – love your tent story 🙂 Have a blessed day!
Mary says
Rosie – that first picture looks like a magazine shot! Lovely! The flowers are stunning. I remember my first Valentine's Day on deployment. My beloved sent me roses and chocolate. They made me feel so cherished. Gotta love a man who cares for his wife no matter how far apart they are. I so enjoy photo's of Pippo. I still walk into a tent that way…always forgetting to duck. It never ends well. LOL! Have a great day!!

What a pretty kitchen! I love the white with all the color accents.
I wasn't able to post on your mouse-in-a-box, but that was so cute I almost had to go buy me some Altoids!
Adriana says
I will always regret that I bought a white Kitchen Aid mixer instead of a red one:)
Maybe I could take it to a garage and ask about a paint job!
Love the bubble pics.

Rosie, I just love the light streaming into your kitchen. It makes me excited that spring is ahead in a month (or two, augh). That light and those cute shorts look so much better than the cold winds, snow pants and runny noses that we have around here. Oh, and your little guy is so cute in that tent – what a great gift!
Laura Jeanne says
Rosie, your kitchen is so beautiful! I love all the white, the warm coloured walls, the red accents…just perfect!
_Rosie says
Thank you, Laura Jeanne. The walls are actually bright white (like all the walls in my house), but the light warmed them up in such a lovely way that morning!

What a nice post! The sunlight photo is terrific.

WOw!! Your kitchen is BEAUTIFUL… I bet it even looks good “messy” 🙂 ANd the flowers are beautiful and sweet as well;) Love the bubble pictures.;)
MamabearJD says
Do you love your red mixer? I wanted one for a long time and then wound up getting a different one, discounted, in grim “stainless.” It's great for triple batches of bread and cookies though! Your kitchen is indeed {pretty.}
Sweet husband. Sweet curls on Pippo! We had a tent like that until my first two wore it out dragging their younger brother around the house in it. It was fun to watch.
_Rosie says
Yes, Mamabear, I do love it!
Colleen says
Rosie, I have to chime in on your kitchen as well: very pretty. You know how to strike the balance between overly plain – and WAY too much stuff on the counters. I can't manage to get that right and so end up with nothing visible on the counters and it looks like no one lives here:)
_Rosie says
Thank you, Colleen. One of the things I'd done the night before was put away a bunch of stuff I'd been keeping on that little piece of counter to the left of the stove – oil, vinegar, etc. I was amazed at how much better I felt about my kitchen after I did that!
Lindsey says
What a lovely, sunny kitchen to wake up to! I am always happy the next morning when I choose to clean the kitchen before going to bed. 🙂 And the flowers are such a nice touch.
AHeartLikeMarys says
Can't get over how cute that little man is! Beautiful tulips (=
kayleen says
Lovely flowers. I am so excited for tulip season…they are my favorito! I am slightly jealous of you sunny kitchen! Our morning is pretty dreary. I will just have to enjoy the sun through your pictures 🙂
Maursia says
Oh, I just love tulips!

The kitchen and the flowers are beautiful! I have the same kind of help. 😉

Love your kitchen and I see you have the red model of the Kitchen-aid mixer I wanted. Instead I got a chrome model as the red wasn't in stock. I like it anyway. Your boy is adorable.
Julie says
I love the bubble shots! He is adorable.

Lovely pictures! Pippo playing with the baking sheets, etc. reminds me of when my little girl (now 15yo) used to drag out all my pots and pans and bang them with a spoon. We did a lot of bubble chasing too when the kids were little. You brought back sweet memories today!

How thoughtful of your husband! I'm sure he loves seeing these pictures, too.
By the by, I have been trying to comment on some Blogger blogs here and for whatever reason, no matter how accurately I spell the security code, it is not allowing my comment to post (and I promise I wasn't trolling!). Is anyone else having that difficulty?
Betsy M says
I had the same problem in the past but now do not. I have no idea why or what I did to “fix” it.
Tiffany says
Your kitchen is beautiful! Something about white c abinetry just brightens up life from the inside out.
anne says
At first I thought your kitchen photo was something from a pinterest board!! so pretty with the red accents and garland. Love the bubble pictures and the gorgeous flowers!! Hope you both are doing well – I'm sure your husband's absence is difficult. God bless you!
Rachel says
Oh, Rosie! The light! The colors! The man child!
Just beautiful.
Jamie says
Love that kitchen! You've made it pretty. 🙂
Mrs. Pickles says
Little Pippo's hair is getting so long and curly — love it!
My kitchen floor looks similar when my toddler boy comes to help — although my sous chef seems to prefer the pots. And the vegetable steamer, especially. 🙂
RubberChickenGirl says
What a happy kitchen you've made!
Still praying for you…..”be of good courage and he will strengthen your heart.” came to mind.
