My alternate title for this post: “Things I've Pregnantly (Almost) Cried Over in the Last Few Months.”
Which list would have included, among other things, 1) realizing while going to bed on Thursday night that I didn't need to think of a dinner for Thursday night because the next day was Friday, and 2) Pa telling Ma that there was going to be a dance at Grandpa's.
I fought back the tears, but still. There's no shame in crying over meal planning or Little House in the Big Woods.
On occasion. You know.
We are delighted to announce that we have another little munchkin on the way!
He (or she: we won't find out for a few more weeks, but Pippo keeps inspecting the earlier ultrasound photo we have on the fridge for signs of pink or blue. So far he can only report that the picture “is very black… And a little white.”) will be making an appearance, God willing, around Easter.
Molly is preparing for her promotion to Big Sister by learning how to climb up all the furniture and pointing out every baby she sees with frantic cries and flailing of arms.
Pippo has set aside the littlest of our Halloween pumpkins to show the new baby when he gets here. (But we'll maybe see if the baby can make do with just a picture…)
Meanwhile, Capt. P and I are grateful for a healthy pregnancy so far, and are eagerly looking forward to meeting this precious little bundle when the time comes!
