Here it is! The Minted Christmas Card Giveaway!
Win a shopping spree of $225 on Minted this Christmas!
The details are at the end of this post…
I have some things to say about some things, so be advised — I just wouldn't want you to lose your concentration…
Natasha loves paper, cards, and graphic design. She also hides a determined, spunky, savvy attitude beneath her sweet demeanor.
Here she is with the three Lawler boys, trying to get the often taciturn Joseph to smile. |
So it's no wonder that she does a million things at her job at Minted. I don't even know what her title is, but I can tell she keeps that place hopping. And she thought that you all might like this giveaway, because it's really fabulous.
If you go over to Minted, you will see not only that it's hip, fun, upscale, and has amazing attention to detail — but that it's got a different, really clever idea as a business model for a card company. They run competitions among designers for their cards!
Anyway, while you are checking out all the amazing aspects of Minted, I just want to say a word about Christmas cards. Now, you know me. I'm pretty cheap and even the crafts I do involve a lot of thrifted stuff. I'm not a buying type of person, I don't spend money just for the heck of it. I'm sort of a tough sell on most things.
But every year I make a huge effort to send a Christmas card to those on my list (unless I've been completely overwhelmed by some event, and I am easily overwhelmed, and even then I send them out by Epiphany, or the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, or Mardi Gras — I do try to get them out…).
Even though, yes, it's an expense, I consider it well worth it. It would be one of the very last things I removed from my budget.
Here's the thing. When you're young, you might not treasure the people on your periphery as much as you should. Sure, you have your closest friends you talk to endlessly, and your favorite cousin…but maybe there are others you actually love but don't talk to that often.
As you get older, you start to realize that you do not want to let go of those people! But you get busy, they get busy, you mean to call, you mean to write, but the days and weeks go by and you don't.
Wouldn't it be great if at least once a year you sent them a greeting of some kind, and got them caught up on your events? Don't you love hearing from someone you sort of thought had given up on you, but didn't?
And further, wouldn't it be great if once a year there were an opportunity not only to greet those you love, but also send them a blessing? A real “God bless you this Christmas and New Year”?
So… Christmas is that day! Or season, rather. And now is probably the time to start thinking about how it will get done, and getting a nice photo of the whole family, before things get crazy.
It is worth it. I know, because I am mightily moved when I receive a Christmas card from someone I really only hear from once a year…and I love seeing the pictures.
Okay, so, without further eloquence, here you go.
The lucky winner will get a $225 spending spree on Minted Christmas cards! (They have Hanukkah cards and other holiday greetings as well, but I'm partial to the Christmas cards myself ;).
Here's all you have to do:
Leave a comment right here telling us which card is your favorite.
You can see them all here.
If you tweet or Facebook it, leave me another comment and we'll enter you again!
And if you don't win but do want to shop there, register and get a 20% off coupon for a Minted purchase of any size. Aaaannnddd…. if you register by September 30 at 11:59 pm you'll be entered for another giveaway over there for $200!
Okay, got it? Just pick your fave and let us know! Don't forget to leave me some way to contact you!
This giveaway will end Saturday, Oct. 2, at 10 pm or whenever I remember to close the comments because I don't know how to do that automatically.
MWAH!
Melissa says
Thanks for a great giveaway, Leila! There are so many that I like, but I think the Noel design by b. wise papers stands out the most to me. It's festive, colorful and looks great with a black and white photo.
tyne says
OHHHHH! They have fabulous stuff, how cool that you have a connection. I love the “Be Merry” design. But really, they are all so cool. Thanks for the sweet giveaway!

Wow, what beautiful cards! Great giveaway.
My favorites, I have 2, are Nordic Snowflake and Modern Luxe.
If I start now, maybe I'll get a decent picture of everyone together by Christmas.
Bethany James says
I like Animal Nativity best. It really focuses on why we even have Christmas, and it's got farm animals, which I love, and are very “us”.
Thanks so much for the giveaway!
Sarah in MI says
They are all lovely, but I like the Three Wise Men card the best. The colors are different from the usual, and it would be an especially appropriate card for those of us who get card out closer to Epiphany than Christmas!
Lindsay says
Very nice, Leila! Thanks for sharing! I think the Unto Us is my favorite!
Paula in MN says
Nativity. Just beautiful.
MamaHen says
I like them all, but right now I think my favorite would be the Vintage card.

You really have a gorgeous family- and the newest addition of your daughter in law is no exception
Sara says
I like the “Nordic Snowflake” because I really like red.
Kristen Laurence says
So simple, but “Christmas Glow” by Karen Glenn is my favorite. Thanks Leila! The best part about this giveaway (besides the generous gift, of course) is the reminder to get a head start on Christmas cards! All your readers win! 🙂
Kerri says

But there were so many great ones. BTW, love this blog. Haven't been reading it very long, but I have enjoyed it immensely and shared it with others. Keep up the good work! 🙂

Maggie says
I vote for “Madonna and Child.” Thanks for doing this!
Brooke says
Oh, I like so many of them, but I've been considering sending out HNY card instead (mostly to pad in case I don't get mine out in time for Christmas), so I was drawn to the simplicity of the typeset of the “Auld Lang Syne” by toast + laurel (which is convenient because they are one of my favorite minted designers anyway)!
Brooke says
And I put the drawing on my FB page!
Terri says
Bright, Nice List and Float + Cheers are all great! I love Minted – can't believe Natasha works there…hello dream job!
christine says
I like the Nordic snowflake – but I tend to have landscape pictures and am not sure how they would look. ditto with the Noel by b.wise. that leaves with the rejoice by crimson lane and vintage label by legacy design. now you know at least one reason my cards aren't always out on time – i can't make a decision! i whole heartedly agree with your post and am a devoted traditional christmas card giver!
Tracy says
the Madonna and Child is wonderful!
Pam says
Love & Peace Eternal I think! Tough choice. I would love to win these!! Thanks for the inspiration.
Pam
Jenny says
It was just impossible to pick one. They are all very lovely. I liked the Madona & child as well as the vintage label card. I would love to win it would give me an incentive to get those Christmas cards out this year. Something I am sad to say hasn't happened in a very long time.

How do you choose just one? The Nativity and the Papercut Tree are my favorites – I would also love to bestow a blessing on family and friends at Christmas, too – just to remind everyone what it's all about.
Hillary says
I happened upon your website and love it because it reminds me so much of my own extended family. Warm memories! The Making Spirits Bright card is so clever, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality, but so Nostalgia and Vintage are great too.
Serena says
Tough, but I like the Hallelujah best. Thanks for LMLD, following for ages and love it all!!!
Serenacw at yahoo dot com
J.C. says
Gorgeous designs!! But I just can't break our tradition of always sending overtly Christian Christmas cards, so Madonna and Child it is. I have to go look at the Three Wisemen card someone mentioned –I like Epiphany cards and have also sent some of those when they go out after Christmas (when Christmas begins liturgically!!) Your daughter-in-law has amazing taste–in many spheres…
Sue says
I don't know if I can enter, being overseas and all… but I love the Emmanuel one on this post, and the Celebrate Christ one. Now, how to get a photo that will look (almost) as good as the one on the sample… :o)
Julie says
Just one?! that is so hard!! Let me just go with Be Merry ( but if we are being honest, they are all amazing and wonderful).
Jenn says
My favorite is “Baby Jesus”, but it was so hard to choose. What gorgeous cards! Thanks for hosting the giveaway!!
Jill F. says
I love the NOEL design although they are all wonderful.
Amy Sapp says
Star of Bethlehem and Celebrating Christ are both amazing, that would be a tough choice!!!
Rachel says
I wish I had an easy time deciding…right now I like “Gentle Snowfall” but my husband likes “Gallery Classic.” If I had a nice small photo, I think “the greens” is simple and lovely. So many to choose from!
Heidi says
I like the Organic Joy design!
Beth in the City says
I really like Organic Joy in red – because I love red. Thanks for the good reminder to put effort into Christmas cards.
GinnySheller says
I like many of the choices, but I think the vintage label is my favorite.
Charming's Mama says
Beautiful cards. So hard to choose, but I would have to say Rustic Snowfall by Unless Someone Like You. However, if I won my choice my change depending on the photo we would use.
Thanks for the opportunity.
margo says
I am taking soooooo long to decide: this is my second time looking at all the gorgeous designs. Really amazing. This is the first time I ventured beyond Shutterfly's lame designs.
So
I would pick the “simple peace love joy.”
Where are Natasha's designs? I've been enjoying her blog.
Jenny says
I like the joyeaux noel card–we New Orleanians are partial to our own quasi-French things!
Jessica says
I like Star of Bethlehem the best. There were so many beautiful choices!
Paul S. says
#1 – Pear Family by robin ott design

I liked the “Be Merry” one -but there are others I like just as much – would just depend on the photos I'm using. This is an incredible giveaway! Would love to win (& the drawing is on my bday!).

Angie says

Phyllis says
I like Joyeux Noel by pottsdesign!

Melanie says
I've been a fan of minted for years now! Have used them for my holiday cards for the past 2 years and will this year too – so would definitely love to win.
I love that they have Chanukah cards! the Nostalgia Hanukkah Photo Cards is beautiful. But, since I prefer to get my cards more season-friendly than holiday specific, this year I'll probably go for the Warm Wishes or Holiday Joy Photo Cards. Clearly I like Annie Clark!
Melanei says
I shared it on facebook too for another entry!
Sara Headley says
Wow, Leila! I wasn't going to comment, but the choices were too tempting! They inspired me, even, to schedule a family photo session…I never hear the end of it from my dad about photos! It wasn't hard to choose my favorite, though-Joyeux Noel+oh joy.
Thanks to all for the give away!
Jenni says
I am torn between “peaceful flurry” and “scarf + garland” both incredibly beautiful designs. :o)
Julie says
Wow, what beautiful cards! My favorite is the Gallery Classic. I just love the clean simplicity of it.
Rebecca says
It's near to impossible to pick just one favorite, but “Sharing Joy” by Karen Glenn stands out to me. The holidays are a remembrance to take a break from everyday and share joy with the ones you love. And I oh so love the new “Yearline” they offer for the inside of the card – what a great idea!!
Monica says
My favorite is “sharing joy.”
mjp3md@gmail.com
KellyChristal says
I love them all, but my favorite is the Gallery Classic Card….it won second place..it is beautiful! I especially like the fact that the picture takes up most of the card, and the writing is very tasteful. I also LOVE the fact that is says “Merry Christmas” on it in beautiful script……thanks for the chance to win some beautiful Christmas Cards! You guys are the best!!!!
Jaimee says
I love the Bethlehem Holiday design, now to pick a photograph!
Elizabeth says
They are such a unique collection of cards. My favorite is the Nordic Star.
Jen says
Wow…these are so amazing!! I cannot pick just one favorite so I narrowed it down to 3: foursquare, bright and don't tell santa. I love how colorful and original they are but still are so festive!
Tiff says
What a fabulous giveaway!! I found your blog through Regan Family Farm blog and I'm so glad I did.
The “Quilted Christmas” caught my eye because I love sewing and quilts. But I think my favorite was the last one “Hallelujah”, it said it all for me.
Tiff
Jen says
I also tweeted! @peachbride 🙂
Lillian says
They are all so lovely, but I would have to say my favorite is Joyeux Noel. I would love to be entered into the drawing. Thank you for your thoughts about Christmas cards/letters/photos. You've inspired me to start getting reading!
Susan says
Some family members (I have 7 siblings) will often cut off the greetings portion and frame the photo of their favorite nieces & nephew until next year's Christmas photo. Consequently, I like greeting cards that maximize the photo size and not have writing over the photo. I love many of the options, but right now I am leaning toward the Oxford Classic. Our last name is long and sometime difficult to fit on an average card – so this design solves that problem wonderfully! Additionally, I always make the letter very Christ centered, so having a little more generic card is sometimes OK. (I do though prefer a Madonna/Child card if given the choice.)
On a side note, this post has officially brought me out of lurking status. My sisters and I have been enjoying your blog for quite some time – and interestingly, my husband and I have been reading your husband's work for much longer. Thank you for living and passing on the Faith.
Alyssa says
Thanks for the great giveaway and the inspiration to connect with people!
I love the Holiday set.
libby sullivan says
my most favorite card i have found on any site this year is the minted- vintage holiday by oscar + emma design….i like its simplicity and the fact that it can be so personalized with your family name (i love monograms)- it really shows off the picture you are using (of which i have a perfect one of my two boys) and doesnt distract from that! it ties everything together so well! I also like how you can change the words- on my cards I always like to say “Merry Merry Everything” because i think it emcompases the spirit of the while season!- plus there is room on this card for me to announce to friends and family that we are expecting our THIRD baby boy!!!!!
libby says
p.s. i also commented on the facebook post…..and my contact info is libbysullivan@gmail.com
Laurie says
What a GREAT giveaway! A tough very decision, they're all unique….my favorite is Three Words, but I also really like Nordic Snowflake, VintageTypography & Wishing Script.

Melissa of craftgasm says
I love the handmade feel the quilted Merry Christmas one [http://www.minted.com/customizer/sku/MIN-G41-CHR]” target=”_blank”> ” target=”_blank”>[http://www.minted.com/customizer/sku/MIN-G41-CHR] has going for it. What beautiful options to choose from, though!
Amelia says
I love 'starry night' – it is such a lovely frame for a family photo.
Susanna says
I wholeheartedly agree with everyone that Minted *ROCKS* because all the designs are gorgeous, but if I were to pick one to send to… the President and the First Lady, I would pick soft flourish by AG Designs. The flow of the photo with the overlay of the lettering is natural and does not have hard lines like cards with divided real estate of 50/50 photo and greeting. It flows like a painting hung in a living room. Beautiful indeed.
Gwen says
What a great giveaway, they are all so beautiful. I like the NOEL design, but wow, what a hard choice.
wanderingsue says
Wow, they really are gorgeous! Natasha must love that job- what a delight to be a part of producing such lovely things. I think my favourite is Rustic Snowfall, by Unless Someone Like You. Hard to choose, though- I'd best not win!
cindy r says
My fave is the Hallelujah Christmas card. Thanks for the chance to win!

Dayna says
I love the black & white card with “NOEL” in color- gorgeous!
Jen says
The holiday set is my favorite…why have one photo when you can have several?! I sent out the photo book last year and everyone went nuts!
julia says
My absolute favorite is the animal nativity because as a child I loved the book (and carol) 'The Friendly Beasts'. Simple as it is, it is still my favorite song at Christmas and I will always sing it with my children 🙂
courtney says
I love them all! But my favorite (at least for now) is Tidings of Joy !!
Elizabeth says
The gallery classic is awesome. With a new little babe at our house, we would love to have these this Christmas.
Emily says
Maybe I would actually send cards if I won! How exciting!
Rosie says
Since my husband and I got married, we have written a Christmas letter every year. We include this in our Christmas cards and really enjoy getting letters from family and friends in return. I do have to say I am partial to somewhat religious cards, but I like them to have a lot of photos. I think my favorite that includes both of these is A Child is Born by Sunny July. This is such a great giveaway. Christmas cards aren't exactly cheap and we tend to send out sooo many, which is a good thing 🙂
April says
Bright, the greens, joyeux noel – too many great ones to chose from! love them all!
fianna says
I really like A Very Merry Christmas by Sarah Brown.

Lynn B says

Lynn B says
aaand…. I just shared on facebook. Thanks, Leila!
Glenda Childers says
I liked the “Glory to God in the Highest”, but my favorite is the Emmanuel that you showed on your post. It is crazy to be thinking about Christmas, but it is just around the corner. I am making an across the country move in November . . . Christmas will be simple this year, my favorite kind.
Blessings on your holidays, Leila.
Fondly,
Glenda
Candace says
Wow! Beautiful, beautiful cards!! I love the NOEL card!!
Adrienne says
There are so many beautiful designs, but my favorite is Starry Night. Lovely.
Betsy M says
Those are beautiful card designs! The Simple Season card though really catches my eye. I LOVE how they have plenty of “Christmas” cards to choose from and not all just Holiday cards. We now need to get going on a picture. Our baby #4 was born this week and Chistmas cards are going to serve as the baby announcements as well – as long as I can get them out before Spring. 🙂
Sanna says
I love all the designs but the gallery classic Christmas one is fabulous!
Kathleen T. Jaeger says
This was a tough one — there are many lovely designs. It helped to know that I'm not to tied to the one that I pick if I win! I like the gallery classic #2. For what our Christmas photo looks like would be a determining factor. There are many lovely designs.
And I also appreciated your words about sending Christmas cards & making that a part of budget considerations. I do love to send them out & we have had recent budget cuts at our house. So this encourages me to still send them out!!
Christine Guest says
Modern Joy looks like a scrapbook page layout I'd like to do, so that is my favorite at the moment.
Sarah @ ALT says
Lovely lovely cards!!! My favorite (I think! It's so hard to choose!) is “Unto Us.”
Nurya Parish says
I love the wishing script. And I love the giveaway! It has taken me out of “lurker” status which is what I have been for a couple months ever since I discovered your blog. I check it regularly and am always delighted by new postings. Thank you for contributing your wisdom to the world.
Katie R says
Wow–such an amazing selection! I could spend HOURS wandering through the different cards. Loving the “Love, Peace and Joy” from 175Design Studio, and “Octavia” by Alex Elko Design…
Betty says
My favorite: Nativity, by Gakemi Art and design
Kalee says
What a great giveaway! I love so many of their designs, but I really love the Joyeux Noel one!
Sarah says
All of them were so beautiful. It was hard to decide. I appreciated how many religious ones they have. So often at other places, there are only a couple religious designs to choose from, and they are just OK. These cards are gorgeous! I think my favorites were the one you included in your post, Madonna and Child, and several of the ones that simply included “noel” in the greeting.
Camille says
I love the Making Spirits Bright card. The Yearline photo cards are really neat, too!
Maria says
I probably spent way too much time looking over these beautiful cards, but I'd like to enter your giveaway with a vote for the Away in a Manger card by Annie Clark. Thanks for the terrific giveaway!
MoiraElizabeth says
This is difficult. Can we like two best? I liked the Madonna and Child and Joyeux Noel!
Bethany says
Love the Nordic Snowflake one! They're all beautiful!
Julie says
Beautiful cards! The “Celebrating Christ” is my favorite.
Ryane says
So hard to choose. They are all so great! I like the Simple Noel, the Madonna and Child, and the unto us… ones. Seriously, they are all wonderful!
Thanks for the giveaway.
Michelle says
So many beautiful cards! Thank you, Leila and Natasha, for bringing us this fabulous give-away. If I have all my ducks in a row, I would love the “Unto us” card; however, if I am as usual running behind, the “Peace, Love, JOY” design would be a great fit. 😉
Thanks again,
Michelle

My favorite is Bright Cheer! I think we'll do photo cards this year…
Erin says
I like the Making Spirits Bright, but mostly because of the “yearline” that it has inside the card. What a great idea to add more photos and highlight fun memories!
Katie says
What a wonderful giveaway! Picking a favorite of all of those wonderful designs is not an easy task. 🙂 I do love the design “gentle snowfall”, though.
briana says
I don't think I could ever choose one. I really like the animal nativity..
Lindsay says
Since I'm Francophone I'm awfully partial to the Joyeux Noel design. I have to make a special trip to get my cards en francais pour ma famille
Tessa says
I love this one, Mouse Holiday Photo Cards. SO cute. Love the site. I try to send things through the mail. I hate how email is slowly taking over….
elise says
what a hard decision… but time and time again i kept going back to STAR BRIGHT…. perhaps it is having a four year old who is obsessed with the stars, but that card – with non-traditional colors – just does it for me! it makes me smile and think of christmas and get all super excited about santa, cookies, family, music and flannel sheets – and minted.com christmas cards too of course!

My ultimate pick is Foursquare by Alex Elko Design, “MERRY CHRIST MAS.” This is such a simple and powerful message.

What a great giveaway. I love sending and receiving Christmas cards!! I think y favorite design (today) is the Christmas glow but they're all so beautiful.

So hard to decide! I would have to say it would depend on what we wore for the picture (I'm usually trying to coordinate outfits and such), but I loved “Madonna and Child,” “Joy to the World,” and “nativity” because by principle I get religious cards. However, I was longing for those vintage label ones…. 😉

I like the Animal Nativity one you have in the post above, and also Away in a Manger. And I also looked at birth announcements (I've kind of got those on my mind–and I'll need them before Christmas cards!) and I really like Genevieve and Tweet Tweet.

I LOVE the papercut tree by Yolanda Mariak Chendak. As much as I love the “cute” cards, I vowed long ago that I'd stick to religious themed cards at Christmas time. How great to see a cute card that carries the message of Christ!

These are great cards! My favorite is the Happy Dot Holiday Photo. I have a great shot of our girls when they were little – on Santa's lap, one smiling, one screaming – I've been talking abt using it for a few years. It would be perfect on this card! Thanks!

Christmas cards!! I have been longing for Advent for weeks now. My three year old asks us “how much longer” almost daily. After failing to send cards last year, this December I am determined to make it happen if at all possible! It would be lovely to send out a whole pile with the “baby Jesus” design! Thank you for hosting such a generous giveaway.
