But I just can't get it together!
I can't write about home schooling, because I'm trying to homeschool.
It's a big job. There isn't much room for sitting at the computer when you are trying to get a good schedule going.
Yes, even after 18 years, it's a big job. Might as well admit it.
And then there is this little matter:
But don't let this calm exterior fool you….
Sometimes a girl needs a friend, when her siblings all go off. And so if you aren't hearing from me right now, it's probably because I'm home schooling or chasing a puppy!

Leila, We just bit the bullet ( I bit the bullet — mom does the work and everyone else has fun!) with a new puppy, too. I spend all my spare time (of which I really have none) waiting for the puppy to potty outside. Now I'll know you're doing the same!

How can anything so adorably cute cause any mischief? I am teasing…I am sure your puppy and my two year old have lots in common. I admire you for homeschooling–I hope things go smoothly. And I love your apples in the paper bag. I miss buying them like that.
Jane says
I fervently hope, for your sake, that your puppy is not like my parents' puppy. Their dog is two years old now, and you can't take your eyes off her any longer than you could a two-year-old child, because she will be eating something inedible or rolling in something unspeakable. She's very smart and knows the names of individual toys…but her relative intelligence also makes her strong-willed. May your puppy be like my childhood dog: happy, cute, healthy, and just dumb enough to be compliant.
Crafty P says
so cute and she looks highly energetic! thanks for stopping in to say hello to us!
Anne R Triolo says
lol, "just dumb enough to be compliant" I love that! And I have sometimes wished it about my toddler…:PCongrats, Bridgy!

How. ABSOLUTELY. Adorable! And I'm sure lots of work…but ultimately worth it!Kari
Deirdre says
She is delightful! I hope she's still really small and toy-like by the time I get to meet her.

Congratulations on the arrival of your new family member! Puppies are so special and create many endearing and funny memories. They are a ton of work especially if cared for responsibly. Puppers is very fortunate to be adopted into such a loving home. Your black and white cutie will be a friend and marvellous companion for your sweet daughter. Linda

Maybe I should write about homeschooling. Our dog is gone to dog heaven and we are done homeschooling. So I should have time. Love that puppie!

What a little sweetie! I am the youngest of five, and my little Benji dog kept me company after everyone else flew the nest (I was only 11 when the fourth one flew). Many times over the years I have thought about how much it meant to have him around when I was "left behind". I cried buckets when he died at the ripe old age of 16. Puppies can be a lot of work, but you did the right thing!

I'm not a dog person but I love Roxie. She's very smart and has learned not to jump all over me in her excitement to see me. Deirdre, you're going to love her.

Through my teen years we had a big fluffy dog my mom rescued. That dog was the one I told all my troubles to while crying into her soft fur. She was the only running companion I ever had until I got married. The first time I fasted and prayed for a friend I was 16. Upon hearing the good result from those prayers, I grabbed my dog and we ran around the side lot rejoicing until I dropped. This past year we got a big fluffy dog for my youngest. We've watched a lot of "Dog Whisperer" DVD's from Netflix and have learned a lot (about people & dogs). Welcome Roxie girl, to a great life!
