We're excitedly getting ready for Nick's wedding, and I don't have access to any interesting pictures at the moment. But I wanted to tell you that alert reader Cora pointed out that my link to Worksheet V wasn't doing the right thing.
{BUT– now further updated to link to an actual post!}
I am happy to tell you that now it is!! So my deathless prose, so long awaited by all (although, if so, why was only Cora concerned that the link wasn't right? Hmmm??? People, you are missing the sidebar!), is now available.
Talk amongst yourselves until I get back in the saddle. Get some sleep, wake up, exercise (but don't ask me how to fit it into your day; I'm sure I don't know), do some laundry, and do some efficient cooking!
XOXO

I actually did this the other day and it was great! Last night we had red cabbage with sausage and apples (YUMMY!) with the cabbage that I had pre-shredded after making cole slaw on Friday. Normally that meal takes about 2 hours to prepare (1 hour of cooktime unattended) and is too long for a weeknight, but with pre-shredded cabbage–Piece of cake! I'm definitely going to have to figure out other ways to do this some more.Thanks a ton!Kari

Is anything not delicious when it's cooked in leftover bacon grease? My kids will eat any vegetable if it takes like bacon!

I am missing your practical postings, Leila! Hoping wedding plans are moving along well.Just wanted to report my successes to you.Every day last week, and today, I have gotten up at an ungodly hour thnks to you! LOL!I set my alarm for what seems waaayyyy to early for me last week, then gave myself 15 minutes to lie there before hopping in the shower. This morning, I upped the ante, and set it fifteen minutes earlier. I laid there for 20 extra minutes, but only because my 2 yr old was sleeping on my nightgown and I was trying to extricate myself bit by bit so as not to wake him up!!I could have gotten right up. Our school days are so much more productive now that I am up and dressed and ready when the children get up. I am not at my goal time yet, but I am in no hurry. I know that I can get there.Thanks, Leila. Looking forward to your next topic.You've fixed my meal planning and my late sleeping…what's next?????Hugs,Dawn in SC

Leila, I am one who asked about exercising. I am trying to apply your adage of "Be Showered" to "Be exercised" — and "make it a habit not a decision." These are some of my new mantras. So I am trying to set my exercise clothes out at night by my bed all the way to my socks & shoes and exercise first thing. Ideally I'd like to shower before we start school — but when I don't, I shower after lunch during our rest time — helps prevent those naps, too. I'm not to the habit without thinking yet and there are days I simply spend in my exercise clothes (without having excerised!!) (but it is a step above jammies all day!!). I am making progress!! Yay! I love your humble approach and suggestions. It is very encouraging. Kathleen
